animal rights march 2017

Last year marked the very first official Animal Rights March, and this year, it’s back. The Official Animal Rights March 2017 will take place in the heart of London, and aims to be bigger and better than before.

With over 10 thousand people marked as going or interested on the event, it looks like it will surpass last years crowds of almost 3 thousand people.

Check out this short video, demonstrating just how amazing last years event was;

This year, the event will be run once again by Surge, with help from Heart Cure and The Save Movement.

The aim of the Animal Rights March 2017 is as follows;

“Let’s make the 2017 march BIGGER, LOUDER, BOLDER and BRIGHTER than last year’s. The future is vegan, but we must take to the streets and continue to speak out on behalf of the animals until the day that their suffering ends.”

The meeting point for this years event is the Achilles statue in Hyde Park, W1J 7NT (near the London Hilton on Park Lane).

If you want to march, make sure you arrive before the 12pm start time, or they may go without you!

Hyde Park Corner is the nearest tube station, however Green Park is also a ten minute walk away. Note that there may be disruptions on the tubes and trains that day, so plan ahead!

The march will finish in Parliament Square, after having marched through the heart of London and getting as many peoples attention as possible.

If you’re coming along, make sure you bring whatever you can with you. This could include signs, flags, horns, drums, costumes, whatever you fancy!

The aim of the Animal Rights March 2017 is to demonstrate that vegans and animal rights activists are always hard at work, fighting for the rights of the voiceless.

London is one of the most forward thinking Cities in the world, and we might just change a few peoples minds about veganism along the way.
