I scream, you scream, we all scream for vegan, pus free ice cream! Everyones favourite guilty pleasure, vegan ice cream is luckily becoming more prominent in Singapore. Whether you fancy eating it by the tubful in the comfort of your own home or as an after-meal snack, when it tastes that damn good and it’s a million times healthier than the regular alternative, what’s not to love?

Here are our 4 favourite vegan ice creams in Singapore. Let us know yours, we’re always looking to find more!

Brownice

Probably the most famous spot in Singapore for an ice cream fix, this has got to be on the list for a million and one reasons. As well as being super cheap ^$4 a scoop, $6 for 2 and $8 for 3), you’ll also be spoilt for choice. From regular vanilla and chocolate to Durian and Gula Melaka, feel free to ask for samples of the flavours before you commit to a whole bowl.

My personal favourites have got to be the Chocolate Brownie I had at the East Coast outlet, along with the peanut butter chocolate chip. Creamy and sweet, with just the rights amount of brownie and chocolate chips, these are so much more delicious than any regular ice cream I can remember eating.

NomVNom

Although NomVNom only serves chocolate ice cream, since when have we ever complained about chocolate? A little different than other vegan ice cream, this one is a lot more ‘icy’. It may sound odd, but it’s still just as delicious as its counterparts, as well as being more refreshing yet still retaining that chocolate flavour we all know and love.

Rice Dream

Sure, vegan Ben and Jerry’s may not have hit Singapore just yet (cries silently), but this is by far the best alternative. Pretty decently prices at about $16 a tub, this ice cream has everything that I look for. As well as the vanilla being creamy and smooth, the cocoa marble fudge, flavour is AMAZING.

The swirl adds to the intensity of the chocolate ice cream it surrounds, as well as being being sweet and soft. It’s not overly rich and tastes like legit milk chocolate ice cream, and I have no shame in admitting that my boyfriend and I finished an entire tub in less than 15 minutes. The closest vegan ice cream in taste to ‘regular’ ice cream that I’ve ever come across.

You can find it at Cold Storage!

Loving Hut:

Loving Hut has a small range of vegan ice creams, but small does most definitely mean average. As well as having an ice cream cake to die for (Mudvelicious), they have banana splits with ice cream along with assorted flavours for the ‘daily scoop’, at only $3.90 a scoop! Loving hut never fails to impress with its wide and varied menu.
