Major fast-food distributor, Sysco, has signed a deal with Beyond Meat which will see their burgers sold in food outlets across the country.
Based in the United States, Sysco will provide Beyond Meat burgers to fast food chains, schools, offices and hotels.
“Similar to how we’ve partnered with conventional grocery stores to bring the Beyond Burger to the meat aisle where everyday consumers shop for protein,” Beyond Meat CEO Ethan Brown said, “we are thrilled to be a part of Sysco’s Cutting Edge Solutions program to bring The Beyond Burger to menus alongside beef at thousands of mainstream restaurants nationwide.”
Vegan brand, Beyond Meat, will now be found on thousands on menus across the US.
“Each year, we evaluate emerging food trends to hand-select our Cutting Edge Solutions featured productions,” Sysco Senior Vice President of Merchandising Brian Todd said. “Our exclusive distribution of the innovative Beyond Burger helps our customers appeal to a growing group of consumers seeking better-for-you products.”
Since launching, Beyond Meat has gone from success to success. The brand sold out upon their Walmart launch and now serves a number of major chains in the United States, the most recent being their addition to the Alamo Drafthouse cinema chain.
