Chipotle UK has released their first vegan menu item, a braised tofu option that promises an ‘exciting new taste’.
Chipotle describe the describes the new item as; “slow-cooked, deliciously tender braised tofu (sofritas) is made with onions, garlic, cumin and paprika, all simmered in chopped tomatoes with a sprinkle of oregano.”
The braised tofu will be available in all of Chipotle UK’s six London restaurants, including Soho, Baker Street, Islington and The City from 30th July.
It can be put in burritos, tacos, burrito bowls and salads.
Chipotle UK is also introducing a new set meal item, the Vegan Boost.
At only 305 calories, it’s a low calorie, gluten free salad which features braised tofu, black beans, fresh tomato salsa and romaine lettuce.
It will retail at £7.
