Ice cream brand Häagen-Dazs has expanded its dairy-free ice cream range with four new vegan products. The line includes chocolate covered ice cream bars and dairy-free pints with cookie crumbles.
The new pint flavours will be Crunchy Peanut Butter and Coconut Cookies And Cream, while the new bars will be Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge and Coconut Caramel Dark Chocolate.
This will be the first time that Häagen-Dazs has offered vegan versions of signature chocolate covered ice cream bars.
Last year, Häagen-Dazs offered its first vegan ice cream, in the form of four vegan flavours. These were: Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge, Coconut Caramel, Chocolate Salted Fudge Truffle, and Mocha Chocolate Cookie.
The company stated: “We start every non-dairy dessert from core ingredients like rich peanut butter, velvet coconut cream, or real pieces of chocolate to create a creamier, more authentic experience,”
This isn’t the first time that ice cream companies have further developed their vegan options in order to meet demand.
Companies such as Halo and Ben & Jerry’s have also recently added new flavours to their dairy-free options.
Although it seems the new Häagen-Dazs flavours will only be available in the US for the time being, the options for UK vegans are ever increasing.
Sainsbury’s have recently introduced their own line of vegan ice cream, in strawberry, chocolate and vanilla flavours.
