Kat Von D is pretty much the reigning Queen of vegan and cruelty-free makeup, and it looks like she’s going to be spreading those vegan wings. With a Kat Von D vegan shoe collection on the way, it’s time to start saving!

So far she has only released a sneak preview of what to come, but fans are already getting excited.

She has announced that there will be a whopping 26 different styles of shoe released, from towering heels to practical flats. She will also be creating some unisex styles.

The Kat Von D vegan shoe line will be 100% vegan and cruelty-free. This means that along with no leather, there will also be glues derived from animal sources, which is often the case with many popular brands.

MY NEW #VEGAN SHOE LINE IS COMING TO LIFE! ❤️🙃👠 The first round of prototypes just arrived to my house – here’s a tiny little sneak peek of 1 out of the 26 styles I’ll be launching with! To all my dear vegan + non-vegan friends, thank you for being so patient! I know how hard it is to find high-quality shoes with style that aren’t made from animal leather, fur, or use glues derived from horses+cows, and that you can afford! I’ve been working hard on getting these shoes perfect for you and hoping to launch the collection at the end of the year! And don’t worry, they’re not all going to be sky-high platforms – I got every style and sizes covered [including a few unisex pieces 👫]❤️ #comingsoon #vegan #crueltyfree [song: “butterfly caught” by massive attack]

Kat Von D has always been vocal about her veganism, and her makeup line is now one of the world’s most popular. To see that she is branching out is fantastic news, and will show vegans and non-vegans alike that there is not a single product that requires animal products.

The vegan shoe market is growing, however, there is still huge room for improvement. Lack of options, styles and prices mean vegan shoes are sadly not yet the norm.

Kat hopes to launch the entire collection by the end of the year, so look out for any new announcements!
