According to rumours on social media, Tesco is set to launch vegan ready meals in stores across the UK. The launch will take place throughout the coming week and will feature a variety of dishes.
In one Facebook post, a Tesco employee discussed how her manager told her about the launch and showed her a new poster detailing the different dishes as part of the upcoming marketing for the launch.
The ready meals have been created by Wicked Healthy with Tesco set to stock a variety of different dishes including:
- Caponata sourdough pizza
- Smashin’ pumpkin falafel sandwich
- Hoi sin mushroom wrap
- Morrocan inspired bowl
- Wicked teriyaki noodles
- Muay Thai curry
Tim Shieff, a famous vegan freerunner, also posted to his Instagram story giving a sneak peek at the new ready-meals.
While pricing is yet to be confirmed, we can expect an official announcement from Tesco tomorrow.
Tesco has been at the forefront of creating new vegan food for the UK market, expanding their free from range over the course of 2017. They now offer a large variety of vegan free-from options including cheeses, desserts and snacks.
