Following the successful Veganuary campaign, Subway has quietly launched the Vegan Delite at a number of outlets.
The Vegan Delite has been launched exclusively in Finland, with the regular meat filling being switched out for a vegan steak patty.
The new Sandwich, which is listed on Subway Finland’s website, currently sells at 6.90€ for 15cm, 30 cm for 9.90€, and Salaatti (salad) for 8.40€.
According to Subway, the new sandwich is described as: “Vegan diet meets spicy vegan steak with 44% vegetables: red onion, red pepper, green pepper, carrot, spinach, corn, white pepper, pea, green chili, garlic.”
While there has been a vegan option at most Subway locations across the world by just ordering a sandwich full of vegetables, this is Subway’s first effort to include a vegan mock meat.
Meanwhile, last year Finland became the first place for McDonald’s to trial their ‘McVegan‘, starting in one outlet and quickly expanding to the rest of the country.
