A national cinema chain in the US has added the Beyond Burger to its menu at locations in Austin, Texas.
Beyond Burger has been making headlines for all the right reasons over the past few months, going from strength to strength.
Alamo Drafthouse, the cinema that will begin serving the burger, is famous for their movie and meal combinations. The chain currently has a veggie option available however, they saw Beyond Burger as another opportunity.
Jeff Mann, Alamo Drafthouse’s Vice President of Food and Beverage, told Eater Austin: “Based off of the initial tasting of the Beyond Meat product, we felt this would be a good item to be able to offer our guests that are looking for a vegan burger.”
Last month, Alamo Drafthouse added the burger to the menu but withheld the name ‘Beyond Burger’ to gauge interest behind the offering.
Branches that offer the patty include all Austin Alamo Drafthouses (South Lamar, Ritz, Village, Slaughter, Lakeline, and Mueller), the Sloans Lake theater in Denver and an outlet in Springfield Missouri.
If successful, the chain also hopes to add the new burger to cinema locations across the US. These would include New York, California, and states in the Midwest
