Beyond Meat has announced its flagship product, the Beyond Burger, will be released in 50 countries across 6 continents, including the United Kingdom.
The announcement revealed that expansion would begin this summer and that 10% of all customer inquiries over the last year have been regarding international expansion.
The plant-based burger brand will partner with a select group of distributors to enter over 50 countries including Germany and the rest of Europe, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Chile, Israel, UAE, Korea, Taiwan and South Africa.
The plant-based brand recently partnered with The PHW Group, a large meat distributor, to supply German customers with the Beyond Burger.
“Reflecting rapid demand growth in the United States and sustained interest from international markets, we’ve taken steps to significantly increase our production capacity,” said Beyond Meat Founder & CEO Ethan Brown.
“These additions make it possible for us to support international launches, building upon the successful 2017 introduction of the Beyond Burger in Hong Kong.”
Beyond Meat has consistently made the news throughout 2018 and 2017, with the brand attracting investors such as Leonardo DiCaprio and launching at Target stores across the US.
