Do it instantly
It may sound more appealing to wean off the animal products gradually, but this can actually make it harder rather than easier. How will you decide that’s your last pizza? Why not just have one more? Oh I’ll start tomorrow. Make the connection, and change your diet there and then. If it does seem like too much in one go, perhaps make the transition to veggie first, with a ‘date’ to go 100% vegan. It’ll make it seem less daunting and less of a challenge, but going all in is always to aim for.
Get rid of animal products hanging around the house, they’re just added obstacles you don’t need. That pack of biscuits may seem harmless now, but what about a week into veganism when you’re having an off day? You will regret snacking on them after, but avoid the guilt and just get rid of them.
Find like-minded people to chat with
It’s always hard having to constantly verify your life choices to people who doubt you or veganism as a whole, so finding people who live similar lifestyles to you can make a world of a difference. Share tips, experiences or just have a chat on why you decided to go vegan, at the same time as becoming friends with some of the most loving and selfless people that you could ever meet.
Not only will they be more than happy to share tips on how to go vegan or awesome ways to adapt to your new lifestyle, but will be so excited that you are interested and keen on doing something good for the animals, the environment and yourself. Expect happy vibes all around.
