For all new American vegan mums out there, this may be the best news you receive all week! A company based in Illinois aims to make plant-based nutrition easier for parents, and will launch later this month, delivering vegan baby food across the Mid West.
Little Harvest, the company behind the idea, was founded by a former business developer at Daiya, the brand behind some of the world’s favourite vegan cheese.
The vegan baby food is designed for children aged four months to over 2 years. They have also been designed with the help of a Paediatric Nutritionist, and all the ingredients are sourced locally.
At the moment, the food is only available to locals, where they can buy it at the Chicago Logan’s Square Market during the Summer. They hope to deliver to the rest of the Mid-West within the next 9 months, however, don’t seem to have any plans for further afield just yet!
With scaremongering of vegan parents becoming a regular occurrence, it’s great to see that a company is helping vegan families get the nutrition that they need.
Feeding a child a vegan diet is 100% manageable, and now this service helps even the busiest of Mum’s ensure their child is getting nutritious, healthy, cruelty-free food.
