Along with Sainsbury’s other free from options, the new vegan ice creams are made in specific are from facilities, helping to ensure there is no cross-contamination with other ingredients.

Sainsbury’s vegan ice cream will retail for £3.50 a pint and is available in stores across the UK today.

Sainsbury’s were one of the first supermarket chains in the UK to embrace veganism, launching its own coconut-based, vegan cheeses in 2016.
