New vegan brand ‘The Meatless Farm’ will be making its debut in UK supermarkets later this month, and will first be released in Sainsbury’s stores across the UK.
The Meatless Farm sells both meat-free mince and fresh burger patties, similar to the Beyond Burger and Naturli mince.
Meatless Farm founder Morten Toft Bech said:
“We have spent the past two years developing a product that is delicious and unique in its category,”
“We are entering the market at a time when demand is growing and meat-free alternatives are becoming increasingly mainstream.”
“We champion texture and taste, offering an everyday solution for the UK’s 22 million flexitarians wanting to still enjoy family favorite dishes but just eat a little less meat, alongside catering for vegetarians and vegans who are looking for tasty alternatives.”
The Leeds based company prides itself on the fact that not only is its production based in the UK, the products produced are also carbon neutral.
The trays they are packaged in are also made from at least 50% recycled materials, and can be widely recycled afterwards.
Vegan mince will cost £3.00, with the burgers costing £2.50.
Sainsbury’s not only currently stocks Naturli products, but also Vivera vegan steaks and many own brand vegan products such as their popular ‘Shroomdogs’.
