Vegan food is so much more than just fruits and vegetables, and vegan fast food chain ‘By Chloe’ is demonstrating that. With their burgers, fries, pasta and cakes, they are hoping to become the McDonalds of the vegan world, and transform people’s attitudes towards food in the process.
The brand made an extremely impressive $10 million in sales in 2016, and hopes to triple that figure in 2017. Aiming to have their eleventh store opened by the end of the year, By Chloe is growing fast and furiously.
Although their products are all 100% vegan, they hope to appeal to both vegans and meat eaters alike.
Everything on the menu is also $12 or less, which means cheap, quick and healthy food for everyone!
Not only does it have fast food classics such as burgers and mac and cheese, it also offers seriously healthy, yet delicious, alternatives. These include quinoa taco and spicy Thai salads, which are most likely the biggest salads you’ll have seen in your entire life.
The growth of vegan fast food outlets such as By Chloe is amazing to see, and demonstrate the huge shift in consumer needs and wants.
Veganism is no longer the diet or lifestyle reserved for hippies and celebrities, it can be accessed and enjoyed by everyone, whether they’re 100% vegan or simply looking for some healthier alternatives.
Although this brand is available only in the US for now, in the UK there is also an expanding array of vegan fast food joints. Temple of Seitan is available in the US, and for those up North, there’s V Revs in Manchester and Mogs in Leeds.
Brands such as these may not have taken over giants such as McDonalds and KFC just yet, however, within the next few years they may just give them a run for their money.
